About Kudos
Thanks for visiting the Kudos website. I’m David Cain and I’m a marketing professional based in the New Forest. For the last 10 years I have been providing outsourced marketing services primarily to small and medium-sized engineering, technology and IT companies. Operating mainly in the South of England, I help businesses by developing and implementing effective marketing strategies.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and have worked with companies ranging in size from some of the largest in the world (Sony, Panasonic, Samsung) to start-ups and established SME’s.
Why work with me?
The first thing to say is that I’m completely independent. I’m not tied to any organisation with a vested interest in digital or social marketing, online or offline marketing, print or media buying. The direction my recommendations take is dictated by the needs of your business, so you can be sure that I’ll only recommend a marketing approach that is right for your business. I want to build long-term relationships with my clients and the only way to do that is to develop trust and deliver excellent results.
I’m a highly experienced outsourced marketing professional. Having run my own small business and worked at board level for many others, I understand the pressures and demands on Directors and owners. I know how important it is to be able to delegate responsibility for a key part of your business with confidence; sure in the knowledge that your trust won’t be misplaced or taken for granted.
How do I work?
It’s pretty obvious but to deliver outstanding results for you, I need a good understanding of your business, your customers and the markets you operate in. Part of that knowledge will come from you, and part of it will be informed by my previous experience in providing outsourced marketing for other engineering and technology-based businesses. My commitment to you is that I will invest my time and energy to complete the picture that will allow us to move forwards with confidence. I don’t charge you for our initial discussions and fact-finding. In fact, you won’t start paying for my services until I start developing specific, actionable plans and strategies for you.
So how much does it cost?
My day rate varies between £400 and £500 depending on the complexity of the work you require and the level of involvement you need from me. I am flexible in my approach and will always tailor my services to fit in with your business requirements. What you get for that is the experience and expertise of a Marketing Director at a fraction of the cost of recruiting and retaining one. You only pay for the time you need and there’s no long-term commitment from you.
